Privacy Policy

In response to the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) Act, our privacy policy has been updated.  STABILO is responsible for the processing of personal data of event participants as declared in this privacy statement. This policy applies to all the people who subscribed to the events and activities organized by STABILO, referred to as participants. In the following sections it is explained what data is kept, why and for how long, and with which other entities the data is shared. Finally,  our contact details are provided in case of any questions.

1. Overview of the Personal Data

STABILO processes personal data of participants after they subscribe to an event through a registration form on this website. By subscribing to an event, the participant agrees to this privacy policy. Below an overview is given of the personal data that is saved:

  • Email Address
  • Name
  • Study Program
  • Study Progress
  • CV (only for some events)

STABILO uses the participant’s name and email address to announce any information related to the activity a person subscribed to and to to prevent multiple submissions from one participant. The study program and progress are used for statistical purposes. The CVs are collected only if the participant agrees to upload the related file. These are collected in case companies base their participant selection for an event on CVs.

2. Retention periods for personal data

STABILO does not store personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which this data was collected. After one year, the participant’s name, email address and CV (if uploaded) are deleted from the database. The study program and year of enrollment may be kept for a longer period for statistical purposes.

3. Sharing personal data with third parties

STABILO will only use this information described above to provide participants with services during the organized events, or to comply with legal obligations.

In case a participant uploads his/her CV, he/she agrees that the document will be shared with the company organizing that particular event with the purpose of selecting participants (and possibly providing feedback and performing a CV check). Only that specific company and STABILO have access to data provided in the CV. The participants have the right to see what exactly has been saved from their data as well as the right to make changes to their data or let the data be destroyed. The participants have the right to ask what happens with the personal data.

4. Photographs and footage

The photographs and footage that will be taken throughout the events will be used by STABILO for marketing and publicity, on the website and in social media. If a participant has any special request about this, he/she should contact us personally through stabilo-lr@tudelft.nl or should fill out the contact form on this website.

5. Access to information

STABILO has access to the database where the personal data is stored. The data is stored on servers hosted by the TU Delft.

6. How we protect personal data

STABILO takes the protection of participant data very serious. The data in the database is secured by the TU Delft. TU Delft thus has access to log data for security reasons. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact us at stabilo-lr@tudelft.nl.
